Jim Earthman, PhD

Co-Founder and Director

Dr. James C. Earthman is a professor of chemical engineering and materials science at the University of California, Irvine, and co-inventor of the Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics (QPD™), the patented technology that forms the foundation of InnerView®.

His groundbreaking research in fatigue mechanics, biomedical materials, and implant diagnostics has transformed how internal mobility is quantified and interpreted in clinical settings.

Publications

His work has been recognized on multiple journal covers, and he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications. His work bridges engineering and clinical science, helping create diagnostic tools now used in active dental and implant care worldwide.
