Assessing Structural Integrity of Teeth and Implants Using Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics & AI

Diagnosing cracks, restoration fatigue, or early signs of implant instability has always been one of dentistry’s greatest challenges. Using Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics (QPD) and AI, clinicians can now measure and monitor structural integrity before visible symptoms appear—offering a new, objective approach to early detection and predictive care.

Dr. Howard Golan

Dr. Howard Golan is a nationally recognized leader in laser-assisted and biomimetic dentistry. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, he completed his general practice residency and a two-year Implant Surgery and Advanced Prosthetic Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital in New York.

Dr. Golan holds a Mastership Certification from the World Clinical Laser Institute and lectures extensively throughout the United States and Canada. He is the co-founder of the Center for Laser Education and oversees the Laser Assisted Dentistry program at North Shore University Hospital, where he trains dental residents in advanced clinical applications.

A graduate of the Alleman-Deliperi Center for Biomimetic Dentistry, Dr. Golan is committed to tooth-conserving, minimally invasive care and has been at the forefront of integrating laser technologies into modern clinical practice.
